Now a day,
television has become a part and parcel of our modern life. So watching TV is a
common pastime for all classes of people. Television telecasts numerous programmes everyday in its various channels. These
programmes give us not only pleasant but also give a chance to know about the
whole world.

Therefore,
like other person I also love watching TV. My favourite TV programme is “Krishi
Dibanishi”. A leading TV channel called ‘Channel i ’ telecast this programme. It is a well-known documentary programme which
presented by an intellectual Bangladeshi journalist and media personality named ‘Sheikkh Siraj’. He always tries to upload
all the updates news and views of our agriculture from Tecnaf to Tetulia. He
not only tells us about the easy method of agriculture but also informs about all the government facilities which help
a farmer to grow more crops in his fields by the use modern technology.
Sometimes he tries to arrange some funny game and sports in order to inspire
our farmers and joy to the spectators. Not only that, he often introduces us
with the foreign agriculture and their life style which teaches us to compare
with them. By the by, our country is an agricultural country and our economy is
totally depends on agriculture. So this programme has become a popular TV
programme with a short time in our country.
One
summer day, a crow got very thirsty. It searched for water hither and
thither. At last it saw a jar at a distance. It flew down to it. There
was a little water at the bottom of the jar. But it was too low for the
crow. The crow tried to upset the jar. But the crow was not too strong
to do it. The crow was in a fix what to do.At last he hit upon a plan.
He gathered rocks and put down it one by one into the jar. When it had
dropped a large number of stones, the water in the jar rose high enough
for him to reach it.Then the crow quenched its thirst drinking water to
it’s heart content and flew away with a joyful mind.
Once
an old farmer had three sons. They could always quarreled with one
another. One day the old farmer called his sons to bring some sticks and
tied them in a bundle. He told them to break the bundle. They tried but
could not break the bundle of the sticks. Then he told them to untie
the bundle and gave a stick to sons and asked them to break it. Then all
of them broke the stick easily. The farmer told them that if they would
remain separate and quarreled with one another, the enemy would easily
defeat them. But if they remained united like the bundle, they would be
much stronger and the enemy could not do any harm to them. At this the
three sons learnt a great lessons and began to live unitedly and
happily.

The town of Hamlin
was once full of rats. They ate all the food, troubled sleeping babies,
and made a lot of noise. The people had grown tired of the rats but
were unable to do anything. Even the cats were not able to kill the
rats. One day, a queer fellow with piercing eyes, came to town. He was
called the Pied Piper. He went to the Mayor and asked him, “What will
you pay me if I free your town of every single rat?” The mayor offered
fifty pounds to the Pied Piper. Happy with the offer, the Pied Piper
started playing his pipe. Hearing the shrill, keen note, every rat came
out from its hole and started following him. The Pied Piper kept on
playing his pipe and the rats followed him. The piper walked up to the riverr
with millions of rats behind him and led them into the water and waited
till every rat had drowned. Now the town was free of the little devils
and the people were very happy. After all the rats were dead, the Pied
Piper returned and asked the Mayor for his money. The Mayor said that he
could only give him twenty pounds for such an easy job. Now that the
rats were dead, the Mayor thought that there was nothing to worry about.
But the Pied Piper wanted to teach him a lesson. This time he played a
different tune. Hearing his music, the children came out of their
houses. They started following the piper, dancing and shouting. The
elders watched in disbelief as the Pied Piper led the children far, far away. The Mayor sent his men to look for the piper and bring the children back but none could find the lost children.

Once
in summer day, a fox was very thirsty. He looked about all day for
water to drink. At last he came to a well. The well was very deep. He
tried to get water. He tumbled in. There was a little water. So he was
not drowned. He drank all he could. Then he tried to get out. But he
could not. A goat came to the well to drink water. He saw the fox and
said, “I could not get any water. Is there water to drink?” The cunning
fox was glad to see the goat and at once made a plan. He invited the
goat and said, “My friend, this well is famous for its sweet water. I
have jumped in and I’m drinking water to my heart’s content. If you want
a taste of it yourself, please jump into it.” Without a second thought,
the foolish goat jumped into the well. The fox at once leaped on the
goat’s back, then got on to his long horns and got out at the well.
Before leaving the place, he looked into the well and said, Foolish
goat, look before you leap. The goat at last cried to come out and
wanted to get help from the fox but the fox went away.
Once
there was a king called Midas. He was very rich. Rich people are not
ever satisfied. They want more and more. They more they have, they more
they want. The king was not satisfied. For this, he prayed to God to get
more gold. The God granted his prayer. In that moment his little
daughter came to him. The king touched her and she became a solid gold
and could not move. The king was very sad to see that. He understood the
fact. Then he prayed to God again to return his blessing. The God
returned back it. So we came to know that excess of anything very bad.
There
was a cowboy in a village. He used to tend cows in nearby field beside
the forest. The cowboy was a great liar. He enjoyed himself making fun
with people. He often cried “wolf, wolf”! Hearing the crying of the boy,
the villagers came with bamboo, spares and other weapons. When they
came, they could not see any wolf. But the boy laughed at them. He made
it several times. The villagers lost their faith upon the boy. One day a
wolf really came. This time the boy cried out for help, but none came
to help. The wolf killed the boy.
